Nicole Sloan (She/Her) | Principal Psychologist
Nicole is a clinical psychologist and a board approved supervisor who completed her Doctor of Psychology at Deakin University. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Nicole worked as a psychiatric nurse for more than ten years in forensic psychiatry, supporting adults experiencing serious mental illness and complex presentations. This extensive clinical background provides her with a nuanced understanding of the relationship between mental and physical health, which she integrates into her psychological practice.
Her primary focus lies in the trauma space, and she is passionate about helping individuals manage the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, and low-prevalence conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorder. Nicole has completed advanced training in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is dedicated to providing compassionate, tailored care that supports each person’s unique needs.
