How to Get Started

  • Schedule an initial consultation through our online portal or call us at 03 8592 0125 or +61 422 440 970.

  • We will discuss your needs and determine the most appropriate assessment for your situation.

  • Our clinicians will conduct the assessment using standardised tools and methodologies.

  • You will receive a detailed report with findings and recommendations.

  • Our assessments are conducted by registered psychologists, and, in some instances, occupational therapists and speech pathologists, in accordance with Australian guidelines, including AADPA recommendations for ADHD and related conditions.

    Important Notes:

Fees: The cost and duration of assessments vary depending on their complexity. In general an assessment will take between 6 and 15 hours, and are priced per hour depending on time taken and complexity of the referral question. It is important to note that the NDIS will NOT fund assessments undertaken for the purpose of diagnosis (i.e. Autism, ADHD, specific learning disorders), and all assessments must be privately funded. That is; the person booking the assessment holds financial responsibility for payment of the assessment costs. If a third party is funding the assessment (i.e. NDIS, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, etc), the person booking the assessment must confirm the third party funding and provide a confirmation letter prior to booking the assessment.

A Medicare rebate may be applicable to some assessment sessions, if a paediatrician has referred for certain assessment kinds. Please check with Medicare to confirm your eligibility for Medicare rebate(s).

    Further:

    • While psychological assessments can identify clinical features and provide valuable diagnostic information, a formal medical diagnosis (i.e. of ADHD, required for medication prescriptions) must be completed by a medical doctor such as a psychiatrist, paediatrician, or GP with appropriate training.

    • If you are an adult seeking an ADHD assessment and would like the option to explore medication, you will need to be assessed by a psychiatrist. However, if you are not interested in pursuing medication, a comprehensive assessment with a psychologist can offer valuable insights into your cognitive functioning and provide tailored strategies and recommendations to support your daily life, work, and overall wellbeing.

    • During the initial session, the clinician may determine that additional assessments are required, which could increase the time and cost. The price provided is an estimate and may be adjusted based on the number of sessions needed.

    • If additional information is required to support the assessment, this may incur an additional fee. This will be discussed with you beforehand.

We are committed to working collaboratively with your treating medical professionals to support your care.
